Pitch a story

Have a story
we should
know about?

Pitch a story to Digipreneur Network. Bring us the people, ideas and shifts helping our audience understand the digital economy—and the world it is creating.

Start your pitch
01 / The right conversationRelevance over noise

Something is changing.
Help us see it.

A useful story gives people more than an announcement. It gives them context, perspective or a new possibility.

We look for credible, timely stories about technology, business, digital skills, creators and opportunity. Caribbean and diaspora relevance matters. So does understanding how global developments affect life, work and access across our region.

01

Change worth understanding

Technology, AI, digital payments, policy and platforms—with a clear explanation of who is affected and what changes.

02

People building what’s next

Founders, creators and teams with a meaningful milestone, a hard-earned lesson or evidence of a different approach.

03

Evidence that adds perspective

Original research, useful data and informed arguments that help our audience see beyond the headline.

04

Access to the conversation

Expert voices, event leads and first-hand experience that can inform an article, podcast or live discussion.

02 / Before you pitchClear beats complicated

Make the story
easy to see.

You don’t need a polished press release. You need a clear angle, a reason to care and enough evidence to explore it.

  1. 01

    Lead with the change.

Tell us what happened or what you are seeing. Give your idea a working headline and a short summary.

  2. 02

    Show why it matters.

Who benefits, who faces a challenge, and what can people learn? Explain the Caribbean or diaspora connection.

  3. 03

    Give us the timing.

Explain why this story belongs in the conversation now. Flag launch dates, deadlines or an embargo request.

The difference is the angle

“We launched a new app” is an announcement.

“Here’s the payment barrier we’re trying to remove for Caribbean freelancers—and what our first users reveal” is a story to explore.

An open door. A clear editorial standard.

Bring the substance.
Leave the spin.

Founders, researchers, journalists, creators, practitioners, community voices and communications teams are welcome. You can pitch your own work or point us toward a story we should investigate.

Your job title or company size does not make the pitch. Its relevance and credibility do.

What we’re not looking for

  • Sales copy presented as independent insight.
  • Bulk press releases without a clear audience connection.
  • Unsupported claims, inflated results or missing sources.
  • Guest-post offers built around paid links or SEO placement.
  • Requests for guaranteed coverage, favourable reviews or publication on demand.

A press release can support your pitch. It does not automatically become a published story. Editorial decisions remain with Digipreneur Network.

03 / From idea to considerationA human editorial process

What happens
after you pitch a story?

01 / Submit

Tell us the essentials.

The guided intake asks about your idea, then adapts its follow-up questions to the type of story you’re sharing.

02 / Review

We look for fit.

Each idea is assessed for relevance, credibility, timing and usefulness. Before deciding, we may verify sources or ask for more context.

03 / Explore

The right story. The right channel.

Digital World is our main home for these conversations, followed by written articles in the Jamaica Observer and T&T Guardian. Your story may also suit another channel across the Network. If we pursue it, we’ll contact you to explore the best fit.

Submission does not guarantee a reply, interview or publication. We do not promise a response deadline. An embargo only takes effect once we agree to it in writing.

04 / Over to you

A few things
worth knowing.

Can I pitch a global story?

Yes. Show us the connection to Caribbean or diaspora audiences, or explain what people in the region can learn from it. A global perspective is welcome when the relevance is clear.

Can a PR representative submit?

Yes. Tell us whom you represent and disclose the commercial relationship. Lead with the story and evidence rather than a request to publish a release unchanged.

Can I suggest a podcast guest?

Yes. Choose the pitch type that best matches the idea, explain the conversation the guest can contribute to, and share their expertise and availability. You can indicate Digipreneur FM as your preferred format.

What about embargoed or sensitive material?

Flag the proposed embargo date, time and timezone in the form. Do not send restricted material before we agree in writing. Share only files you have permission to provide, and include image credits or usage restrictions.

Do I need a finished article or a media kit?

No. A strong summary and verifiable angle are enough to start. Supporting files are optional. If your material is too large to upload, share an accessible link instead.
